Stamped & Decorative Concrete
Get the look of stone, brick, or tile at a fraction of the cost with durable stamped concrete.

Stamped concrete gives you the high-end look of natural stone, brick pavers, or slate without the high-end price tag. We pour concrete like a regular slab, but before it sets, we press texture patterns into the surface and add color to mimic the look of premium materials. The result is a custom finish that looks expensive but costs a fraction of what you would pay for real stone or pavers.
We have been installing stamped and decorative concrete in Bloomington, IL since 2024, and we offer dozens of patterns and colors to match your style. Whether you want a rustic cobblestone driveway, a slate-look patio, or a decorative walkway that looks like flagstone, we can create it for you.
Why Choose Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete delivers the visual appeal of natural materials with the durability and low maintenance of concrete. Pavers shift and settle over time, creating uneven surfaces and weed growth between the joints. Natural stone is expensive and heavy, and it requires ongoing maintenance. Stamped concrete stays level, resists weather damage, and needs almost no upkeep.
Here is why homeowners choose stamped concrete:
- Realistic look: Modern stamping techniques create texture and patterns that closely mimic natural materials.
- Custom color: We can match any color scheme or choose from earth tones, grays, reds, and more.
- Lower cost: Stamped concrete costs 30 to 50 percent less than pavers or natural stone.
- Durability: It lasts as long as regular concrete and handles freeze-thaw cycles without shifting.
- Easy maintenance: Just sweep and hose it down. Reseal every few years to keep the color fresh.
Stamped concrete works for driveways, patios, walkways, pool decks, and more. If you already have a plain concrete surface, we can sometimes overlay it with a thin stamped layer to upgrade the look without tearing out the old slab.
Popular Patterns and Colors
We offer dozens of stamp patterns and color options to match your home and landscape. Popular patterns include ashlar slate, random stone, cobblestone, wood plank, brick, and fieldstone. You can mix patterns and colors to create borders, inlays, or accent areas that add visual interest.
Colors range from natural earth tones like tan, brown, and gray to bolder shades like terra cotta, charcoal, and sandstone. We can apply one color for a uniform look or use multiple colors to create a more realistic stone appearance. The stamping process happens while the concrete is still workable, so we press the pattern into the surface and then apply color hardeners and release agents for a textured, dimensional finish.
If you are building a new concrete patio or driveway, stamped concrete is a great way to add style and value without going over budget. We will show you samples and help you choose the right combination for your project.
How Stamped Concrete Is Installed
Stamped concrete requires more skill and timing than a regular pour because the stamping must happen at just the right moment. If we stamp too early, the pattern blurs. If we wait too long, the concrete hardens and will not take the impression. Our crew has years of experience getting the timing right, and we work quickly to complete the stamping before the concrete sets.
Here is the step-by-step process:
- Base prep: We excavate, build a compacted gravel base, and set forms like any concrete project.
- Concrete pour: We pour and level the concrete, then smooth the surface.
- Color hardener: We broadcast color hardener powder onto the wet surface and trowel it in.
- Release agent: We apply a release agent so the stamps do not stick to the concrete.
- Stamping: We press stamp mats into the concrete to create the pattern and texture.
- Curing and sealing: After the concrete cures, we wash the surface and apply a sealer to protect the color.
Stamped concrete projects usually take 2 to 4 days from start to finish, including prep, pouring, stamping, and sealing. You can walk on it after 24 to 48 hours, but we recommend waiting at least a week before driving on it or placing heavy objects on the surface.
